Plano, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas, TX, is a very affluent area located in Collin County. Being the ninth largest city in the state is a distinction maintained by the population growth from the 2000 U.S. Census of 222,030 to the most recent 2006 estimate of 255,009; Plano is also the 70th largest city in the United States.
