A retainer fee payment is an option offered to our clients to ensure that our attorneys are available to you when you need us most. A retainer fee is a fixed amount of money that you pay up front to secure our legal representation. Since you pay the retainer amount in advance, the charges for any work done on your case are simply deducted from the prepaid amount.

Heselmeyer Zinda, PLLC sees a retainer fee arrangement as beneficial to both you and to your attorney. It provides you with a firm budget for legal fees and assures you that we are working on your case during the specified time frame. One our end, our attorneys have the assurance of an advance monthly amount with you as a dedicated client.

At Heselmeyer Zinda, PLLC, our retainers are always refundable, so if we complete your case in less time than estimated you will be given a refund on the remaining amount. Because retainer fee arrangements can be structured in various ways, we will discuss the arrangement in detail before signing any agreements.

We pledge to our clients that “we will always take the time to explain the options and consequences for each choice you make about your case” and that includes any financial impact your decisions could have on the retainer agreement. We will thoroughly review your case and address the following questions with you prior to taking a retainer fee:

What costs and other expenses are covered within this fee?

Does the fee include costs for staff, such as secretaries, messengers or paralegals?

Will expenses be deducted from the retainer or are they extra?

Will my lawyer be “on call” to handle any legal problems that may arise during this period?

Will I be given a statement of the work performed?

If youre trying to control your legal costs, the attorneys at Heselmeyer Zinda PLLC offer a wide range of payment options. We will work with you to determine the best plan for your case and for your business or individual financial needs.

Our attorneys provide business representation to small, medium and large businesses.
